Marymount Manhattan College

Marymount Manhattan College is a private liberal arts college on the Upper East Side of New York City. It offers a strong program in the arts and sciences for students of all ages. For a recent project at the college, Lori Kupfer Architect was asked to create branded elevator interiors for five cabs that serve the two buildings that are the heart of the Marymount Manhattan campus. According to the architect, “We selected F+S because of their rich collection of materials that could be used to highlight the College’s brand colors in creative ways, and because F+S could provide a fully engineered panelized solution to hold the materials. We turned the elevator cabs into special intimate environments that would be both durable and delightful. The LEVELe System and the unique combination of F+S materials that included ViviStrata glass with the Surge pattern in blue, ViviSpectra Spectrum glass for the logo and Manhattan skyline motifs, and fingerprint- and dirt-resistant stainless steel with Ceramiloc+ treatment all made for the most exceptional elevator cab interiors. Close collaboration to bring all components together was a seamless process with F+S.”
